Measuring Your Size

Why is the Correct Size Important?
Making sure you get the correct sized ring or necklace is one of the most important things to look for other than it’s aesthetics!
For example, rings that are too small are difficult to wear and can impede blood circulation, possibly even landing you in a trip to the ER in order to saw off that ring. You could end up with a really sore finger and an unusable ring afterwards, which NOBODY wants. On the other hand, rings that are too big can fall off and be lost, which is a tragedy in itself.
The same can be said for necklaces too!
A necklace too small might not fit, become a choking hazard, or in the best case, be too small to fit all of your outfits.
A necklace too big would hang too far down, getting in the way of everything, ESPECIALLY when you lean forwards.
Don’t be afraid to be like Goldilocks towards your jewellery, our staff are always more than happy to help you find that perfect fit!
How to Measure Your Size at Home
Measuring ring sizes using masking tape
Another way to find your ring size is to measure the circumference of your finger using masking tape.
1. Wrap your finger in masking tape and draw a line
where the tape makes a full circle.
2. Unravel the tape and measure the length between
the start and the line you drew.
3. Check the size chart below oto find the right size for
you.
Measuring ring sizes using an existing ring
The simplest way to find out your size is to measure the inside diameter of an existing ring that fits well.
1. Place the ring on a flat surface
2. Measure the “inner diameter” with a ruler or caliper
3. Check the size chart below to find the right size for
you.

Tips to Know When Choosing a Size:
These are some must know tips for when you go to any jewellery store or website!
Your fingers change size depending on time of day and temperature.
They often swell more in the evening than in the morning but become thinner in winter due to the cold temperature.
Therefore the best time to measure your fingers is in the afternoon to evening.
Each finger is a different size
Your fingers are different sizes for right/left hands, middle/ring fingers, etc.
To get the most accurate measurements, you should measure based on the finger you will be wearing the ring on.
Ring width matters!
Ring width also affects which size you should and are able to wear comfortably.
For bands wider than 4mm, it is often best to go half a size larger as the wide band will struggle to make it past your knuckles. For thin bands, you can stick with the standard sizes.
However, if your joints are thick and fingertips are thin:
It is recommended to choose a size that is comfortable to wear even it if is a little tight when worn.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is resizing possible?
Unfortunately we do not and cannot physically resize rings or bracelets in store both due to our policy and because we are not a manufacture jeweller.
Thankfully, there are some rings that are made to be adjustable and most of our necklaces usually come with extension chains, so please read the descriptions of each product before buying!
Do necklace lengths look different depending on height/body type?
Yes!
People with petite frames may prefer shorter chains (40 – 45cm) whereas people with taller or broader shoulders often suit 50 – 60cm lengths. However, it all comes down to personal preference.
What’s the difference between wrist size and bracelet size?
Your wrist size refers to the exact measurement of your wrist. The bracelet size includes the extra allowance for comfort.
To get the bracelet size you want, you should add on to your wrist size depending on how you’d like to wear it:
– Snug fit: Add 0.6 cm to your wrist measurement
– Comfortable fit: Add 1.3 cm to your wrist measurement
– Loose fit: Add 1.9 – 2.5 cm to your wrist measurement
